| So recently the larryhui.com for whatever reason won't let me update, forcing me to the old standby, xanga. It's been almost a year. So what's new?
I am currently eating some homemade fried rice. I did it lazy man style, using day old rice, soy sauce, a touch of sesame oil (a little goes a long way), cut up beef strips, and frozen vegetables. Sadly this particular mix of frozen vegetables has lima beans in it. I usually don't mind the lima, but in fried rice I can do without it.
The fried rice is serviceable but lacking a particular punch. In the future, I may use only frozen peas and carrots, but also buy some kimchi and chop it up, therein making Kimchi Fried Rice. Such an idea is crazy enough to work.
Elsewhere, I am currently employed as a contractor. This particular position I am in is interesting because it is a fusion of my two possible career choices, bioengineering and computer science. Obviously I chose the former but always wondered what would happen if I picked the latter (aside from being in the same classes as Weiki and Richard). It is fun thus far but as I expected, once you get into the debugging and such it kinda sucks.
Also, software developers are the strangest assortment of characters ever. Entering a meeting with them is like walking into the Star Wars Cantina. Had I a weapon, I would slowly be taking the safety off under the table during our conversations.
Anyway, I am considering a new webhost that actually works, and also get some more space and other such things (let's call it future development). If you know of any, perhaps we can talk.
update 3/10: .com is back up now. see you next year!

| Tetris ownz and now it is out on the Nintendo DS. You can play wirelessly with other people across the internet.
The internet is a funny thing because with anonymity, people's jerkier traits come out. People will act tough and such. In reality, they are most likely nerds, just like me.
Yesterday I was playing against some people online. I was doing good, and one fellow, we were going back and forth, splitting our games. Then we played one game, and I dropped 3 tetrises (tetri?) on him in a row. He lost soon after, in what was probably under 40 seconds total. Just a demoralizing game for this fellow, and he quit afterwards.
In my head, I was thinking of possible taunts that I would say if this person were actually sitting next to me. I came up with:
"I was playing Tetris before you were born, (imaginary) kid."
Then it hit me, that statement might be true. I feel old.

| edit: you have got to be freaking kidding me.
Okay someone please explain why everyone thinks this movie is amazing.
I went in with pretty high expectations and I was let down, to say the
least.
Basically there are 6 or so random stories about people in LA. I only
found one or two of them to be interesting (Ludacris and the
locksmith). Then, I think the following happened at the production
meeting:
StudioHead1: So, we got multiple story lines that have nothing to do with each other... what now?
StudioHead2: I know! let's randomly insert them into each other's story lines!
StudioHead1: Brilliant! (exchanges high fives)
No. The whole premise gets lame after awhile, and you come to expect
that someone you have seen before will show up in someone else's
storyline.
Add to the fact that many of the characters are largely unlikeable due
to their inability to stop screaming, and you have an overrated movie.
That's just me, though.
Good parts: good directing, decent music.
Someone defend this movie's honor, I'd like to know what I missed.
